Royal Caribbean International will bring new ways to explore Europe in the summer of 2022 with a fresh mix of ships, new itineraries, and destinations across the region – from Italy and Israel to the British Isles and the Arctic Circle. Guests can experience culture-rich adventures aboard new ships in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe, with Brilliance of the Seas sailing round-trip from Venice, Italy, and Voyager of the Seas in its inaugural season in the Baltic Sea – the first Voyager-class ship to do so. Fan favorites Anthem, Allure, and Odyssey of the Seas – Royal Caribbean’s second Quantum Ultra Class ship, debuting in 2021 – will return to their respective homeports of Southampton, England; Barcelona; and Rome, creating a summer of memories in Europe’s most sought-after destinations.
The Mediterranean from Italy
The Odyssey of the Seas will return to Rome and offer 7- and 9-night cruises to the Greek Islands and Turkey, and 12-night cruises to the Holy Land. Passengers can enjoy sun-drenched destinations such as Santorini, Mykonos, Athens, and Rhodes, Greece; Ephesus, Turkey; Naples/Capri, Italy; and Haifa and Jerusalem, Israel. New for 2022, the Holy Land itineraries will include a stop in Limassol, Crete, a bustling city designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visiting the most attractive cities in the Mediterranean and the most famous beach destinations, the Brilliance of the Seas will offer 7-night cruises to Greece and Croatia, as well as the Greek Islands. Departing from Venice (Ravenna), Italy, guests can explore picturesque coastal cities such as Dubrovnik, Croatia, and Athens, and enjoy the multicolored waters and beaches of Mykonos and the tavernas of Santorini.
Explore Europe from Spain
The Oasis class returns to Barcelona with the Allure of the Seas sailing to the Western Mediterranean on 7-night cruises that include nights in Rome, Naples/Capri, and Florence/Pisa, Italy. For those who wish to begin and end their trip in Italy, round-trip sailings from Rome are also available.
The Vision of the Seas will offer new 8-night Western Mediterranean cruises this summer and, beginning in September 2022, will add shorter 5-night voyages for the fall months. The ship will visit famous coastal cities along the French Riviera, including Toulon, France, and Monte Carlo, Monaco; and Cagliari, Sardinia, and Palermo, Sicily, in Italy.
British and Baltic Adventures
Voyager of the Seas will embark on its inaugural season in Northern Europe, offering 7-, 10-, and 11-night Baltic Sea adventures, round-trip from Copenhagen (May-June and August) and Stockholm (July). Passengers will have a collection of destinations worth exploring, from the captivating beauty of the Norwegian fjords to Europe's oldest medieval city in Tallinn, Estonia, along with overnight stays in St. Petersburg to experience Russia's art and culture day and night.
The Jewel of the Seas will introduce a new itinerary for the cruise line in September 2022. The 9- and 10-night cruises between Tarragona, Spain, and Athens will visit Olympia and Santorini, Greece; Monte Carlo; the Amalfi Coast and the French Riviera, among other ports of call. Before repositioning to Tarragona, it will offer a diverse mix of 12-night itineraries from Amsterdam to stunning destinations, including Iceland, the British Isles, the Arctic Circle, and the Norwegian fjords.
The Anthem of the Seas will arrive in Southampton for the second year running in May 2022, and will embark on a variety of 7, 12 and 14 night cruises to Northern Europe, the Iberian Peninsula, the Western Mediterranean and the Canary Islands.
Adventure seekers can opt for 7-night cruises to visit the Norwegian coast and enjoy picturesque harbors and stunning fjord views, experience Scandinavian city life, or discover the world of wine tasting in France and tapas tours in Spain.
Those looking for a longer summer holiday with plenty of sunshine can head south to the Canary Islands on a 12-night cruise, sailing to Vigo, Spain; Lisbon and Madeira, Portugal; as well as Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Tenerife in the Canary Islands.
Travelers can also escape to the best Mediterranean beaches and bustling, culture-rich cities on a 14-night itinerary that includes Nice, France; Rome and Naples, Italy; Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza, Spain; and Lisbon.
