CruisesNews Media Group and TIS – Tourism Innovation Summit join forces to boost the tourism sector and revive the industry, through a collaboration agreement aimed at helping the recovery of tourism and the cruise industry and its professionals through innovation, technology and sustainability.

The Tourism Innovation Summit will bring together tourism industry leaders from November 25-27, 2020, in Seville, Spain, to discuss the sector's and the economy's recovery. For three days, executives and tourism professionals will have the opportunity to learn about and understand the new landscape following the COVID-19 crisis, the new measures and regulations, and the megatrends that can help reopen the flow of international travelers and tourists. In addition, TIS2020 attendees will discover new technologies and innovations to boost their businesses and the role of cruises in the sector's reactivation.
TIS2020 includes the Tourism Innovation Global Summit, a global forum for innovation, knowledge, and perspectives where tourism experts will share ideas, trends, strategies, and success stories focused on each industry segment and professional profile. The Tourism Innovation Global Summit will host six forums (Destinations of the Future, Hospitality Technology Forum, Travel and Mobility Forum, Distribution Channels Forum, Leisure and Activities Forum, and Business Travel and MICE Forum) and specific agendas to help CEOs, CIOs, CMOs, DMCs, and Revenue Managers boost their tourism businesses. This is in addition to other high-level events such as the 2020 Tourism Innovation Awards, which recognize the implementation of innovative technologies or business models in the tourism sector; and the Touristech Startup Fest, an initiative that brings together 400 of the most ambitious startups to present their projects for transforming the tourism industry through technology and sustainability.
CruisesNews Media Group is a Spanish company specializing in communication, promotion, and consulting for the cruise sector and is the organizer of the International Cruise Summit, which will be held in Madrid on December 1st and 2nd of this year. The event aims to contribute to the dissemination of professional knowledge within the sector at a time when cruise lines, destinations, travel agencies, and all professionals involved in the cruise industry must face new challenges to be prepared for the eventual reopening. The cruise industry, like many others, must regain the trust of its customers and demonstrate that we can travel safely. According to Virginia López, Managing Director of CruisesNews Media Group, “The cruise industry is one of the sectors suffering the most from this crisis, and travelers and businesses must receive accurate information.”.
This year, the International Cruise Summit is, more than ever, the place to discuss and analyze the present and unprecedented future of the global cruise industry in an interactive conference held both in person and online.
Top executives from international cruise lines, port authorities, tourist destinations, as well as travel agents and the entire support industry, will participate virtually or in person in this hybrid event, one of the world's most important cruise industry conferences. The event will feature many prominent international professionals from the cruise industry, including the presidents and CEOs of nine cruise lines. Over the two days, various panel discussions and presentations will address the return to operations, new cruise line strategies, excursions and destinations, new investments, fleet modifications, and how to restore consumer confidence.
