Following the arrival of the new Fincantieri ship in Ancona, Italy, on October 30, 2020, Silversea Cruises today unveils the first details of the Silver Moon, the ninth ship in the cruise line's ultra-luxury fleet. Barbara Muckermann, Silversea's Chief Marketing Officer, presents five virtual tours of the ship, in which viewers are guided through the Silver Moon's new spaces, including public areas, restaurants, and suites.

Muckermann begins with a preamble, outlining the ship's key features and welcoming viewers to the Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona. At 40,700 tons and boasting numerous pioneering features that distinguish it from its sister ship, the Silver Muse, the Silver Moon is the epitome of 21st-century luxury travel.
SALT Spaces: Aboard Silver Moon, the innovative new culinary enrichment program SALT, short for Sea and Land Taste, debuts, allowing guests to delve deeper into a series of destination-centric dining experiences, both onboard and ashore. As part of the SALT program, three new venues will offer immersive culinary experiences to passengers, forming a culinary discovery hub on Deck 4: SALT Kitchen is the first large-scale regional restaurant aboard a luxury cruise ship, offering a destination-changing menu and a regionally inspired wine list; SALT Lab is a kitchen where passengers can learn about local ingredients and artisanal techniques through workshops, tastings, and demonstrations; and SALT Bar allows guests to sample the most authentic flavors of the destination through a wide selection of wines, spirits, and other regional beverages.
Public spaces. Silver Moon draws inspiration from the successful design of its sister ship, Silver Muse, maintaining the intimate feel of the smaller vessel and the spacious all-suite accommodations that are a hallmark of the Silversea experience. At the same time, several public spaces have been reimagined: the Dolce Vita Lounge, the Connoisseur's Corner, the Pool Deck and Spa, and the Fitness Centre have all undergone extensive redesigns to enhance passenger comfort and enjoyment.
Suites. Silver Moon accommodates 596 guests in 298 elegant suites, 96% of which feature balconies. With elegant décor, premium materials, and luxurious amenities, Silver Moon's spacious suites boast one of the highest space-to-guest ratios, offering guests superlative comfort—a hallmark of the Silversea experience. And, with luxurious, bespoke beds handcrafted by Savoir adorning the ship's 10 finest suites—four Owner's Suites, four Grand Suites, and two Royal Suites—guests of these accommodations will experience a distinctive level of comfort even while they sleep. Guests of each suite will enjoy dedicated butler service, as well as an in-suite bar and dining area, available 24 hours a day, and other luxurious amenities.
Dining. On board Silver Moon, travelers will enjoy eight restaurants, each with a distinct concept. Atlantide has been expanded to accommodate up to 220 guests. Minimalist yet sophisticated, Kaiseki's enhanced design draws inspiration from the world's finest Asian restaurants. Serving refined French cuisine in an elegant atmosphere, Silversea's flagship restaurant, La Dame, also boasts a new design on board Silver Moon, expanded to accommodate 56 guests and offering the opportunity to dine under the stars. Furthermore, in a unique new collaboration, Lalique has crafted 11 bespoke glass panels to further enhance the restaurant's aesthetic. Silversea passengers will also enjoy fine dining at La Terrazza, Silver Note, The Grill, Spaccanapoli, and SALT Kitchen.
