Madrid will once again host the International Cruise Summit, organized by Cruises News Media Group. This tenth edition will bring together leading international professionals from the cruise industry to discuss this key sector of tourism. The prestigious event will take place on December 1st and 2nd at the Meliá Castilla Hotel in Madrid, adhering to all necessary health and safety protocols. This year, due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual participation will also be available. The tenth edition of the International Cruise Summit is set to be the largest in terms of reach and audience to date. Furthermore, the schedule has been adjusted to reach a wider range of professionals worldwide.

After a forced pause in the global cruise industry, cruise lines are beginning to resume operations, with advanced health and safety protocols and itineraries adapted to the current situation. A robust industry, committed to the environment and sustainability, with even more adapted ships, and ready to adapt to the new reality.
Senior executives, international cruise line representatives, port and destination authorities, travel agents, and the entire support industry will participate in person or virtually in this hybrid event, one of the world's most important cruise conferences. The event will feature presentations from top cruise line leaders such as Michael Bayley, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean International; Tom McAlpin, President and CEO of Virgin Voyages; Michael Thamm, CEO of Costa Group; Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises; Chris Theophilides, CEO of Celestyal Cruises; and Peter Deer, Managing Director of Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, among others.
During the two days, several round tables and presentations will discuss the return of operations, new strategies of cruise companies, excursions and destinations, new investments, fleet modification and how to restore consumer confidence.
Currently, several cruises have resumed their itineraries through Greece, Malta, Italy and Northern Europe, and in the coming days Spain will join the list with cruises through the Canary Islands.
