Nine months after its launch, Atlas Ocean Voyages' World Navigator touched the water for the first time at the West Sea Viana shipyard in Portugal. The small expedition vessel is now being fitted out with elegant and luxurious amenities and décor. Meanwhile, construction of the World Traveller, Atlas Ocean Voyages' second expedition ship, is already underway, and its keel has also been laid at the West Sea Viana shipyard. The World Navigator and World Traveller are scheduled to be launched in July 2021 and mid-2022, respectively. In addition to the World Navigator and World Traveller, three more expedition ships are slated for delivery by the end of 2023.
“The launching of our first ship is a momentous milestone for Atlas Ocean Voyages,” said President Alberto Aliberti. “We are one step closer to welcoming the World Navigator.”

For its inaugural season, the World Navigator will sail seven- to 24-night itineraries in the Holy Land, the Black Sea, and the Mediterranean, followed by nine- to 13-night itineraries in the Caribbean, South America, and Antarctic expeditions for the 2021/22 winter season. With a capacity for 196 passengers and a refined, welcoming atmosphere, the World Navigator and its sister ships are Polar Category-C and Ice Class-1B certified.
