Costa Cruises continues to gradually and responsibly resume operations. Following the presentation of its itineraries for the upcoming 2020/21 winter season, the Italian company has also redesigned its voyages for the remainder of 2021 with the aim of offering its guests the best possible experience through even enhanced health protocols.
Costa Cruises will further expand its Mediterranean offerings with a wide variety of options and the convenience of departing from different ports from April to November 2021. In addition, cruises to Northern Europe, one of the most popular destinations among the cruise line's guests, will return during the summer of 2021.
Full details about the new itineraries and how to book them will be available soon on the Costa website or through travel agencies. The company is working with national and local authorities in the countries where its ships will call to ensure a safe and enjoyable vacation experience for its guests. Costa Cruises will implement its Safety Protocol in all destinations included in the new 2021 program.
From March until autumn 2021, three ships will regularly sail the western Mediterranean: the Costa Smeralda, the first ship in the fleet powered by LNG; the Costa Firenze, the new ship being built at Fincantieri's Marghera shipyard (Venice); and the Costa Pacifica, which will offer 7-day cruises with stops in Italy, France and Spain.
In addition, three more ships will operate in the Eastern Mediterranean on week-long itineraries. The Costa Deliziosa will sail to the Greek Islands, while the Costa Luminosa will visit Greece and Croatia, and the Costa Magica will sail to Greece and Malta.
During the 2021 summer season, Costa will have four ships offering itineraries in Northern Europe. The Costa Diadema will sail for a week to the Baltic capitals and the Norwegian Fjords, respectively. The Costa Favolosa will offer travelers spectacular 14-day vacations in Iceland, 9 days in the Norwegian Fjords, and a 15-day trip to Ireland, Scotland, and England. Meanwhile, the Costa Fascinosa will operate 12-day cruises to the North Cape and a 9-day Baltic Sea itinerary.
In spring and autumn 2021, the Costa Fortuna, Costa Diadema, Costa Favolosa, and Costa Fascinosa will all be operating in the Mediterranean. The Costa Diadema will visit Israel and Turkey on two two-week cruises. The Costa Fortuna will offer mini-cruises in the Western Mediterranean, while the Costa Favolosa will feature mini-cruises in spring and 10-day cruises to Morocco in autumn. The Costa Fascinosa will also offer 10-day cruises to Lisbon.
All other itineraries already scheduled for the months between March and November 2021, and not included in the new program, will be cancelled. Costa is taking the necessary steps to inform all travel agencies and clients involved, who will be guaranteed the option to rebook in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
