Cunard Line has unveiled the Queen Mary 2's new 2022 route, departing from Southampton in January and returning to the same port in April. As is tradition, all three Cunard ships embark on their 'Grand Voyage' at the beginning of the year, offering unique journeys of almost four months across five continents.
For 2022, the company has prepared a westward voyage for its flagship vessel through the Suez Canal, exploring the Mediterranean to Greece, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
On January 10, 2022, the Queen Mary 2 will depart from Southampton, making stops in Greece, Dubai, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Australia, and Bali before returning to its port of departure on April 24 via Abu Dhabi, Oman, Italy, and Portugal. At the start of its voyage, the Queen Mary 2 will call in Cádiz on January 13.
Over a 104-day voyage, the Queen Mary 2 will visit 16 countries, calling at 29 different ports and spending the night in the cities of Haifa, Dubai, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Singapore, in addition to an extended stop in Colombo. Its itinerary includes the opportunity to visit 33 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Following the wishes expressed by our travelers, the average time spent in port of call has been extended to 16.5 hours per stop, to enhance the cultural immersion that is an essential part of our journeys.
As is tradition on Cunard's "Grand Voyages," the trip can be divided into segments. Some of the most notable include: Southampton to Dubai (23 days); Dubai to Hong Kong (18 days); Hong Kong to Sydney or Sydney to Singapore (both 17 days); Singapore to Dubai (14 days); or the final leg from Dubai to Southampton (21 days).
