The Norwegian shipping company has been chosen as one of the protagonists of the film “Mission Impossible 7” which features Hollywood star Tom Cruise.
More specifically, the ships MS Vesterålen and MS Fridtjof Nansen, the second eco-friendly ship in the fleet and twin brother of the MS Roald Amundsen, have been chartered until the end of September.
The film is being shot in Norway, so the production company Truenorht has decided that Hurtigruten ships are the safest places to stay while filming, given the current situation.
The MS Fridtjof Nansen is currently docked in the port of Hellesylt. It is hosting a total of 200 international workers and 200 Norwegians, according to information published by the local newspaper Åndalsnes avis.
Furthermore, it is known that “Mission Impossible 7” has received nearly 50 million Norwegian kroner from the Norwegian Film Institute and that several scenes have already been filmed at Åndalsnes station.
The American company, which produced the film, will be responsible for disinfecting the ships during filming.
