The Port of Cadiz Bay has recovered cruise traffic with the arrival last night of the Belle de Cadix to the dock of El Puerto de Santa María, after a six-month ban on this traffic due to the health alert caused by COVID-19.
As you may recall, since March 12, Order PCM/216/2020 has prohibited the docking of tourist cruise ships in Spanish ports, with some exceptions; however, the Belle de Cadix is not subject to these limitations as it calls exclusively at ports in the country.
The ship arrived in El Puerto at 10:00 PM from the port of Huelva and will depart tomorrow at 7:00 PM for Seville. It is expected that future calls will include stops in Cádiz, in addition to El Puerto, as has been the norm since the project began over a decade ago.
On this occasion, and due to the security requirements and protocols, which the company, Croisi Europe, has certified with Bureau Veritas, the ship carries a reduced passenger load, consisting of 48 passengers and 28 crew members.
