With the aim of ensuring maximum safety for passengers, crew and destination communities, and in line with its decision to restart responsibly, Costa Cruises announces that September cruises on the Costa Deliziosa from Trieste and Costa Diadema from Genoa will be reserved exclusively for Italians, with one-week itineraries calling at only Italian ports.
The decision was made considering the evolution of the epidemiological scenario and taking into account the order issued today by the Italian Ministry of Health on mandatory checks for travelers returning from some European and foreign destinations, which suggests a more cautious approach.
The departure dates for both ships are confirmed – Costa Deliziosa on September 6, 13, 20, and 27, and Costa Diadema on September 19. Further details regarding the itineraries will be announced as soon as possible. Costa continues to work closely with the Italian State authorities, the Italian regions, local institutions, health authorities, port authorities, ports and terminals, and RINA to ensure the responsible, smooth, and well-organized implementation of the new rules and protocols approved by the Italian Government for the resumption of cruises.
The company also confirms the extension of the pause for all other cruises until September 30, 2020, with the exception of the aforementioned sailings of the Costa Deliziosa and Costa Diadema. Costa is informing affected travelers and travel agents.
Costa is working towards a responsible and safe resumption of its cruises starting September 6, as announced in recent days, while closely monitoring the constantly evolving epidemiological situation. The company hopes that from October onwards, the situation will allow them to welcome guests of other nationalities on board their ships.
