Silversea Cruises today affirms its destination leadership by unveiling a revised collection of 157 new expedition voyages. Departing from January 2021 through July 2022, the revised voyages have been designed by the cruise line's destination experts to preserve and enhance the characteristically diverse array of experiences offered to guests, pushing the boundaries of ultra-luxury expedition travel.
The enhanced expedition offering includes pioneering Galapagos itineraries aboard the new Silver Origin ship, the unprecedented Deep Antarctica expedition and the first ultra-luxury flight-cruise combo to Antarctica, a grand 51-port Arctic voyage, and the first expedition-world cruise, among other immersive experiences.
Enjoying 12 inaugural calls while traveling aboard Silversea's four expedition ships, guests will journey deeper through the following expedition experiences as part of the new voyage collection:
- COMPLETELY NEW ITINERARIES IN THE GALAPAGOS ABOARD THE SILVER ORIGIN
To further enhance guests' destination experience in the Galápagos Islands, the 68 new voyages aboard Silver Origin will incorporate five new ports of call, including the beautiful island of Santa Fe. The iconic islands of Fernandina and Isabela now appear on both itineraries, each featuring enhanced shore programs. Guests will have more opportunities to admire the archipelago's iconic wildlife, including the Galápagos penguin, green sea turtles, endemic iguanas, and many remarkable bird species. Silver Origin will build upon Silversea's multi-award-winning cruising expertise in this unique region, forging meaningful connections between travelers and the destination. Aboard Silver Origin, guests will enjoy the highest ratio of expert guide to guest (1:10) and the highest ratio of Zodiac to guest (1:12.5) in the region.
- TRAVELING TO EXTREME LATITUDES ON THE EXPEDITION TO DEEP ANTARCTICA
Silversea's longest voyage to Antarctica, Deep Antarctica, will take guests on the cruise line's first-ever attempt to cruise the Antarctic Circle on a 20-day exploration of the White Continent, departing on January 27, 2022. Part of an enriched 35-voyage Antarctic season, the Deep Antarctica expedition will take guests to latitudes unprecedented in Silversea's history, with the Silver Explorer aiming to reach the breathtaking 69°S parallel. Guests aboard the Silver Explorer will venture into Marguerite Bay and potentially even as far south as the Bellingshausen Sea, a spectacular but rarely visited area of the Antarctic Peninsula. After the Silver Explorer's drydock, guests will enjoy the highest ratio of experts to Zodiacs per guest in the region, with 14 Zodiacs and a dedicated team of 14 of the world's top expedition professionals.
- THE FIRST-EVER EXPEDITION WORLD CRUISE: THE UNCHARTED WORLD TOUR
Now departing on January 25, 2022, Uncharted World Tour will be the first-ever round-the-world expedition cruise. This pioneering voyage will take adventurous travelers across 21 oceans and seas, stopping at 107 landmark destinations in 20 countries. Enriching guest experiences await, with 70 leading experts and 20 guest speakers joining the journey, sharing their insights as the Silver Cloud travels to some of the most remote regions on Earth.
- ANTARCTICA BRIDGE: THE FIRST ULTRA-LUXURY FLIGHT AND CRUISE COMBINATION TO ANTARCTICA
Silversea guests will enjoy even more diversity in the cruise line's Antarctic offerings with the launch of Antarctica Bridge, the first ultra-luxury flight and cruise package to the White Continent. With the option of a nine-night all-inclusive flight and cruise aboard the Silver Explorer, travelers now have more choices regarding the length of their Antarctic expedition, as well as the destinations they will visit, with immersive experiences in the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia, the Falkland Islands, the Ross Sea, and the Subantarctic Islands included in the company's enhanced Antarctic collection.
- SILVERSEA'S FIRST GRAND VOYAGE TO THE ARCTIC
Departing on July 16, 2021, Silver Cloud will embark on Silversea’s first-ever Arctic Grand Voyage, unlocking unforgettable experiences for guests in 51 destinations across seven countries. Traveling through some of the world’s most remote waters for 63 days, while enjoying exclusive events and an impressive lineup of guest speakers, Silversea guests will discover many once-in-a-lifetime experiences on the all-inclusive Grand Arctic Voyage. As part of an enhanced Arctic season, guests will also retrace the route taken by famous explorers of yesteryear during a daring crossing of the Northwest Passage, as well as embark on incredible new voyages in Svalbard aboard Silver Cloud.
Also included in Silversea’s new 2021/2022 expedition voyage collection are 10 voyages in Northern Europe, with five departures from various ports in the British Isles and two voyages to the Norwegian Fjords; a wide selection of in-depth expeditions in Australia’s Kimberley region, as well as Southeast Asia and Melanesia; seven exceptional voyages to the South Pacific islands; a variety of options in South America, including two spectacular itineraries to the Chilean Fjords; and the opportunity to discover Alaska and the US West Coast; and more.
