Due to the gradual decline in travel in Europe, AIDA Cruises has decided to resume its cruise operations at the end of this summer. Given the company's commitment to ensuring all customers feel confident in planning their holidays, AIDA Cruises has announced an extension of its operational pause until August 31, 2020. This measure excludes August departures of the AIDAperla, AIDAprima, and AIDAdiva.
AIDA Cruises is in constant contact with the authorities to restart cruise vacations when the time is right, under safe conditions and in full compliance with all disinfection and safety regulations as well as protocols to ensure physical distancing.
All guests whose trips cannot proceed as originally scheduled will be notified immediately. Reservations are processed chronologically according to departure date, and the company publishes all updated information regarding the operational suspension on its website.
AIDA Cruises wants its customers to be able to enjoy their long-awaited holidays at a later date. To this end, the company will refund payments in the form of a future cruise credit to all customers whose cruises departing in August 2020 have been affected. AIDA thanks customers for their trust by offering them a 10% bonus on the amount paid.
To support travel agencies during these difficult times, AIDA will transfer 10% of the credit value to travel agencies as soon as it issues the future cruise credit to the customer.
