Naval architect Stefano Pastrovich presents a visionary design that combines the luxury of a superyacht with modular construction and Wärtsilä hybrid propulsion in the X-Expedition, providing a new concept of immersion with nature.
Stefano Pastrovich, with over 20 years of experience creating custom superyachts and exploration vessels, presents his X Expedition design for superyachts and cruise ships. “We have designed a new generation of superyachts and small exploration cruise ships in the luxury segment. Our X Expedition is one of a kind: a magical and safe haven from which to enjoy the world’s most beautiful landscapes in complete safety, while immersing yourself in an extraordinary world that becomes part of its surroundings, like an island.”.
Technically, the design of X-Expedition unites two worlds. “From the first sketch, we integrated different construction techniques, leveraging the efficient modular style of the cruise industry, which we combined with the high-end techniques typical of superyachts. This allows us to achieve efficient management of construction costs and timelines without sacrificing luxurious construction details.”.
The X-Expedition design offers a length of 101 meters and a beam of 19 meters, with three different configurations:
• OPTIMUM CONFIGURATION for 108 passengers in 48 standard suites, 4 luxury suites, and 2 owner suites.
• LUXURY CONFIGURATION for 84 passengers in 24 standard suites, 16 luxury suites, and 2 owner suites.
• OWNER'S CONFIGURATION for 64 passengers in 24 luxury suites and 4 owner suites.
The standard suites measure 29 m² including a 6.5 m² balcony, the deluxe suites 58 m² with a 10 m² balcony, and the owner suites 87 m² with a 20 m² balcony. The passenger-to-crew ratio is 1:1 in all three configurations.
Another technical innovation in the design is the incorporation of the latest hybrid propulsion technology, designed and developed by Wärtsilä, which offers a number of benefits:
