Celestyal Cruises, the leading Greek-owned cruise operator, has made the difficult decision to extend the suspension of its operations until July 30 due to government restrictions and temporary port closures within the region where the cruise company operates.
The Greek government recently announced the gradual reopening of the tourist season in the country over the coming weeks, with international flights resuming in July. Celestyal Cruises will continue to closely monitor this gradual reopening of Greece to international tourists while developing optimal health and safety protocols in close collaboration with Greek authorities.

I am sure they understand that our priority in making this decision is to ensure the well-being of our customers and crew. It is encouraging to see Greece cautiously beginning its gradual reopening to international tourism following the improvement in COVID-19 pandemic recommendations, and we look forward to resuming operations as soon as possible and welcoming our customers back on board safely.”.
Celestyal Cruises is offering a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) worth 120% of the booking amount to all customers with fully paid individual bookings affected by this temporary suspension. Until December 2021, customers can redeem their Future Cruise Credit for any Celestyal Cruises itinerary departing through the end of December 2022. If they do not redeem their credit before the specified date, they will automatically receive a full refund equal to the original amount paid to Celestyal upon the voucher's expiration.
To make the process easier for those affected, Celestyal Cruises will automatically send their Future Cruise Credit voucher directly to them or their travel agencies, so they will only need to contact customer service if they wish to rebook.
Following the recent launch of the Celestyal Cruises 2021 and 2022 digital brochure, supported by the 'Escape to the Future' early booking promotion, customers can now confidently modify their bookings until December 31, 2021. This applies to all new bookings made up to August 31, 2020, and provided the modification is made at least 30 days before the departure date, a Future Cruise Credit will be issued for 100% of the amount received by Celestyal. This credit can be redeemed for any cruise departing before December 31, 2022.
