Virgin Voyages has announced the cancellation of all its cruises until October 15, 2020. The first departure will be on October 16 and, according to the company, will feature “exciting innovations focused on protecting the well-being of our passengers and crew.”.
Virgin began its journey by receiving its first ship, the Scarlet Lady, on February 14th, and presenting it to the public in Liverpool 10 days later. It then crossed the Atlantic Ocean to arrive in Miami on March 7th, just as the coronavirus pandemic was beginning to spread worldwide. On March 12th, a company statement announced the cancellation of all its cruises until July 15th.
The company has announced that its second ship, Valiant Lady, will operate from Barcelona starting in May 2021.
