Genoa, October 29, 2019.The Finnish shipyard Meyer, located in Turku, has unfortunately informed Costa Cruises of a further delay in the construction of what will be the company's new flagship, the Costa Smeralda.
As a result of this delay, the Costa Smeralda's first scheduled cruise will depart from Savona on December 21, 2019.The itinerary, which will be repeated until May 16, 2020, remains unchanged with the following schedule of ports of call: Savona (Saturday), Marseille (Sunday), Barcelona (Monday), Palma (Tuesday), Civitavecchia (Thursday), and La Spezia (Friday).
Costa Cruises deeply regrets what happened and is informing both travel agencies and guests who had already booked for the Costa Smeralda cruises between November 30 and December 20, 2019, that they will no longer take place.
