Just one year remains until the launch of Silver Moon℠, a sleek new addition to Silversea’s fleet of ultra-luxury ships. Embarking on its maiden voyage on August 6, 2020, the Silver Moon℠ will echo the relaxed elegance of the company’s current flagship, Silver Muse, while offering unprecedented enhancements and innovative features.
In addition to Silversea’s signature luxury features, Silver Moon℠ will push the boundaries of travel with a pioneering new culinary program, SALT (Sea and Land Taste)℠, tailored to each destination to deliver immersive dining experiences. Elevating gastronomy as a means of traveling deeper into a destination, SALT will showcase entire ecosystems around the world’s culinary cultures through onboard and onshore experiences. Guests will appreciate regional ingredients and culinary traditions onboard before venturing ashore, guided by experts, to experience each region’s culinary culture firsthand.

As part of the SALT program, three new spaces will offer immersive dining experiences for guests on the Silver Moon℠, forming a culinary discovery hub on Deck 4: one of the eight restaurants on board, SALT Kitchen will be the first large-scale regional restaurant on a luxury cruise ship, offering a constantly changing menu and a regionally inspired wine list; SAL Lab will allow guests to learn about local ingredients and artisanal techniques through workshops, tastings, and engaging demonstrations; and the SALT bar will allow guests to sample the most authentic flavors of the destination through a wide selection of wines, spirits, and other regional beverages.

Also located on Deck 4, the popular Atlantide and Kaiseki restaurants will undergo extensive redesigns compared to the Silver Muse. On board the Silver Moon℠, Atlantide will be expanded to accommodate up to 230 guests. Minimalist yet sophisticated, Kaiseki's enhanced design will draw inspiration from the world's finest sushi restaurants. Here, guests will witness expert sushi chefs at work as they prepare fresh sushi and sashimi. Silversea's signature restaurant, La Dame, serving fine French cuisine in an elegant setting, will also feature a new design on board the Silver Moon℠, expanded to accommodate more than 50 guests. Located on Deck 8, where guests will enjoy stunning ocean views, La Dame will also offer the opportunity to dine under the stars. In addition, as part of a unique new collaboration with Lalique, founded in 1888, renowned producers of handcrafted crystal artworks, it will create bespoke crystal panels to further enrich the restaurant's aesthetic, for the enjoyment of Silversea guests.

While preserving the acclaimed exclusive spaces and elegant design of Silver Muse, Silver Moon℠ will feature enhanced lounges and public spaces to offer guests meaningful choices at any time of day. At the heart of the ship on Deck 5, the Dolce Vita Lounge will benefit from a new design, with the bar relocated to the center of the room. Dolce Vita will welcome guests as a sophisticated bar during the day and as a charming piano bar in the evening—the perfect spot for pre-dinner cocktails.

Located on Deck 9, the Connoisseur's Corner will also be completely redesigned aboard Silver Moon℠. In addition to a new design, this inviting space will incorporate a new Wintergarden area, creating a sheltered and inviting outdoor haven. Here, guests will enjoy a selection of premium cigars and spirits in a sophisticated setting.

In addition to an enhanced pool deck featuring steps into the pool and an expanded U-shaped bar area with extra seating, the Silver Moon℠ will offer guests a redesigned spa and fitness center. The space will incorporate indoor and outdoor areas, including a large thermal area, a relaxation area, and a fitness center. Other signature venues will include the Panorama Lounge, the Observation Library, the Venetian Lounge, and the Casino.

Enhanced with elegant décor, premium materials, and luxurious amenities, the spacious suites on Silver Moon℠ will benefit from one of the highest space-to-guest ratios, offering guests superlative comfort—a hallmark of the Silversea experience. Guests in each suite will enjoy butler service, an in-suite bar stocked with their favorite beverages, 24-hour room service, and a variety of other luxurious amenities.
“Inspired by the success of our beloved Silver Muse, Silver Moon℠ will raise the bar in ultra-luxury travel, offering immersive experiences for our guests in elegant and relaxed luxury,” says Barbara Muckermann, Chief Marketing Officer of Silversea. “Incorporating unprecedented concepts, the ship will bring innovation to the industry while maintaining the small-ship intimacy and spacious suite accommodations that are the hallmarks of the Silversea experience. From our pioneering new SALT program to the variety of reimagined public spaces, every aspect of the new ship has been carefully designed to further enrich our guests’ experiences.”
Silver Moon will complete its maiden voyage between August 6 and 17, 2020, traveling from Trieste to Rome (Civitavecchia). This cruise is in high demand, but suites are still available for those who want to be among the first to experience Silver Moon. Silver Moon, one of Silversea's five ships, will cruise the Mediterranean throughout the summer until November, when it will cross the Atlantic Ocean to Fort Lauderdale. From there, it will spend time visiting several Caribbean islands, including Barbados, Antigua, Puerto Rico, and more. Between January 7 and March 17, 2021, Silver Moon will head to South America for the 2021 Grand South America, visiting 37 destinations in 20 countries.
