The Oasis of the Seas will arrive at the Navantia shipyards in Cáliz on April 18th, to be repaired from the accident suffered in the Bahamas while it was undergoing repairs in a floating dock.
According to sources at Navantia, the repair of the Royal Caribbean ship will have a very positive impact, and although the number of workers required for the repair is not yet known, it will enhance the shipyard's image worldwide.
The Oasis of the Seas has had to cancel its cruises scheduled for April 6, 14, and 21, and will not resume service until the cruise departing from Barcelona on May 5. Royal Caribbean has carried out extensive maintenance and renovations on its ships in Cádiz over the past eight years.
A team of workers from Navantia and auxiliary industry have departed for the Bahamas to study the damage and make the crossing on the ship.
