As announced to its network of agencies at its last Convention, Avasa has expanded its collaboration agreement with IST, its leading technology partner in the cruise industry and provider of its “Cruise Browser” tool, and is contracting additional services with the aim of boosting sales of the “Cruises” product by providing its agencies with improved technological tools.
This cruise search engine is hosted on the Group's Intranet, although some partner agencies have also incorporated it into their websites.
Until now, it functioned solely as a cruise search engine and comparison tool, displaying information, availability, and real-time pricing, but not allowing users to finalize bookings. From now on, thanks to Avasa's agreement with IST, its partners will be able to book online using their agency credentials, without needing to access each cruise line's website. Bookings will be made directly with each cruise line, without the Group's involvement. And the option to offer B2C bookings.
The available cruise lines are: Azamara, Carnival, Celebrity Cruises, Costa Cruises, Holland America Line, MSC Cruises, NCL, Pullmantur, and Royal Caribbean.
Avasa also announces that it has contracted the upgrade of this service to "Premium", which, among many other advantages, will allow them to add the offers and special campaigns launched by the shipping companies, whether they are actions open to the general public or exclusive ones agreed directly with the Group.
The Group is firm in its intention to work constantly to ensure that its partner agencies remain "Cruise Specialists", always offering them solutions to improve their productivity and profitability.
