Madrid, March 19, 2019.On April 1, the Costa Fortuna will begin operations from its home port of Valencia. Until October 28, the ship will sail its "In the Heart of the Mediterranean" itinerary 12 times, offering visitors the opportunity to discover some of the most exciting destinations in the Western Mediterranean.
The Costa Fortuna, after a refurbishment valued at more than 8 million euros carried out in the shipyards of Singapore, is back operating in Europe.
Valencia will be the starting point of an 8-day itinerary that, after crossing the Strait of Bonifacio between Corsica and Sardinia, will visit destinations such as Civitavecchia (Rome), La Spezia (Florence), Genoa, Marseille and Barcelona before returning to Valencia.
The ship, with a capacity for 3,470 passengers and more than 1,000 crew members, will allow more than 40,000 passengers to visit the city of Valencia during their Mediterranean cruise throughout 2019.
In addition, Costa offers guests embarking in Valencia a shuttle service to the city from various points in Spain with leading companies in the sector, such as Renfe and the Iberia Group. In this way, the cruise line ensures that its customers' trip is exceptional from the moment they leave home.
