CroisiEurope, Europe's largest river cruise company, received the Excellence Award for Best River Cruise Company in 2018 at the awards ceremony held in Cartagena. These are the only awards specializing in the cruise industry in Spain, presented by Cruises News Media Group since 2008, based on votes cast by cruise passengers and travel agencies. The company has won this award nine times, making it the river cruise operator with the most wins.
The Cruise Excellence Awards ceremony brought together more than 300 guests at the El Batel Auditorium, including top executives from cruise shipping companies, cruise tour operators, shipping agents, ports and destinations, travel agents, press, collaborators, professionals and entrepreneurs and other suppliers in the sector.
The award was accepted by Tomás Fernández, Commercial Director for Spain and Latin America, who thanked all the cruise passengers who voted for CroisiEurope as the best river tourism company, as well as the effort and dedication of the CroisiEurope sales team in Spain, thanks to which the company deserves this award.
Tomás Fernández stated, “We are very proud to receive this award for the fifth consecutive year. Our initial goal was to establish ourselves in the Spanish cruise industry, and I believe we have already achieved this, given the exponential increase in demand…” He added, “Now we have set new objectives for CroisiEurope. The main one is to become the largest premium cruise line in Europe, which is why we will have 50 of our own ships by 2019. At the same time, we are reducing the number of passengers per ship to create larger , more elegant, and more comfortable spaces for our guests. Furthermore, we now only build state-of-the- art, five-anchor ships equipped with the latest technological advancements , and we are taking risks with innovative destinations , as demonstrated by our second five-star ship in Africa, which I am announcing here for the first time, in addition to a second CroisiEurope-owned lodge in Namibia. River cruising is here to stay…”
