On March 29th, the Sovereign will set sail from the port of Barcelona with some very special passengers: the participants of Sea Dates. This is the first cruise for singles aged 50 and over, organized by Pullmantur Cruises – the only cruise line on the market that brings the Spanish lifestyle to the cruise experience – and promoted on Ourtime by Meetic, the dating website for people over 50 in Spain.
During the four days and three nights of this unique trip, passengers – arriving from Spain (where it is estimated that there are more than six million singles over the age of 50)[1] and from other parts of Europe – will enjoy an exclusive atmosphere and a program of activities designed for them with the aim of providing them with the best singles experience at sea.
In addition, they will have the opportunity to visit Montpellier and explore its medieval alleyways, the Peyrou Gardens and the Roman aqueduct; delve into Sète, a predominantly fishing town, and taste its exquisite local tapas; and explore Carcassonne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its narrow and steep streets.

Sea Dates: the onboard program
Once on board, in addition to the regular entertainment program, a wide variety of activities are designed to make this trip a fun-filled experience, including:
- Carnival of Seduction: Each passenger will receive a Venetian mask and a letter with the objective of finding the person who has the same mask. Once they find each other, they have seven minutes for speed dating.
- Love Olympics: a competition for couples where they must overcome different and very fun challenges.
- Morning yoga: early risers will practice their favorite sport during sunrise.
- Karaoke duos and group classes in salsa and cha-cha-cha.
