Bremenhaven hosted the world premiere last April of Norwegian Cruise Line's newest ship, the Norwegian Bliss.

Its 168,028 gross registered tons make it the largest ship built by the company to date, with a capacity for 3,994 passengers, being the third unit of the Breakaway-Plus class, although it has important differences compared to its predecessors.
The most noteworthy new feature is the indoor karting track, an impressive two-level circuit for competing in electric karts.
A go-kart track on deck and a huge panoramic lounge at the bow are major new features of the Norwegian Bliss.
It occupies the aft third of the ship, replacing the usual elevated circuit of bridges found on other Norwegian Cruise Line ships in that area. Another significant new feature is the laser tag arena on the upper deck, where two teams face off in a maze armed with harmless laser guns.
While those two attractions are paid services, the biggest novelty for all passengers on the Norwegian Bliss is the enormous panoramic Observation Lounge. Located above the bridge, its double-height window facing forward offers spectacular views, which are also enjoyed by the buffet on the upper deck. However, what truly sets it apart from other lounges of this type are the exceptionally long side corridors. To give you an idea, the Observation Lounge is larger than the buffet, which it actually complements in a way, as the side corridors feature smaller buffets for snacking between meals or even for a more casual lunch.
Norwegian Cruise Line is known for its flexible dining options, offering passengers a wide variety of dining choices on all its ships, with the Norwegian Bliss boasting 29. Three main restaurants, a large buffet, and The Local Bar & Grill are included in the fare, and for an additional cost, guests can choose from Italian, French, Mexican, American, steakhouse, Asian, and fusion restaurants, among others. Many of these restaurants feature outdoor seating on The Waterfront, a promenade around the ship accessible by lifeboats. Of course, the bar options are equally impressive: Maltings Whiskey Bar, The Cellars wine bar, The District Brew House, the Sugarcane Mojito Bar, and even a Starbucks.

The Norwegian Bliss begins its journey in the remote waters of Alaska, after which it will reposition itself in Miami.
