Madrid – March 8, 2018 – Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., one of the world’s leading cruise companies, which operates the Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises brands, has announced a new, state-of-the-art Norwegian Cruise Line terminal at the Port of Miami. The new terminal reflects the ongoing relationship and close ties between Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings and Miami, the international cruise company’s home since 1966. Pending final approval from the Miami-Dade County Board of Commissioners, the project is scheduled to begin in May 2018 and is slated for completion in the fall of 2019, when the Norwegian Encore, the latest ship in the Breakaway Plus class, will make its Miami debut with seasonal Caribbean cruises.

Spanning nearly 50,500 square meters, the terminal will accommodate ships carrying up to 5,000 passengers and will feature new technologies to support faster and more efficient embarkation and disembarkation processes, as well as quicker security checks and baggage handling. An exclusive lounge and service area will provide a warm and welcoming arrival experience for large groups and charters. Additionally, plans include a parking lot and service area with direct access to the terminal and lounge.
