Madrid, March 6, 2018 - Pullmantur Cruises - the only cruise line on the market that brings the Spanish lifestyle to the cruise travel experience - expands the excursion program of its 'Canary Islands and Agadir' itinerary by incorporating electric bicycle routes.
Always accompanied by an instructor-guide, this innovative proposal already allows guests of the Horizon ship to discover in a healthy and ecological way the Canary Island landscapes of Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Palma, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura as well as the Moroccan city of Agadir.
Regarding this new offering, the President & CEO of Pullmantur Cruises, Richard J. From Las Teresitas beach to the Vegueta neighborhood
As part of this itinerary, Pullmantur Cruises offers six electric bike tours (one per port of call), each lasting approximately four hours and alternating between cycling and rest periods. Helmets will be provided for all tours, and participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing and shoes, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
Guests who choose this option will be able to visit from Las Teresitas beach to Santa Cruz de La Palma, with its surroundings, which include the Barco de la Virgen or the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Snows.
Likewise, they will explore Arrecife and some of its most emblematic places such as Telamón, the Tahiche Volcano and the Monument to the Farmer; or the Vegueta neighborhood, with its Santa Ana cathedral and the Columbus house museum, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
While in Agadir, the excursion will take you to visit the Kasbah, a fortress in the oldest and highest part of the city, or the Souk el Had market.
The 'Canary Islands and Agadir' route: second season
On November 25, 2017, Pullmantur Cruises launched the second season of this itinerary with embarkation in Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
This season, 20 departures are scheduled (five more than last year), bringing approximately 30,000 passengers to enjoy the charms of the islands. The economic impact of the operation is estimated at around €13 million, a figure that does not include other expenses directly related to the activity, such as docking fees, baggage handling, supplies, etc.
