Marina Uceda, Group Event Director of Artexis Easyfairs Iberia and Director of the Logistics & Distribution, Empack, Packaging Innovations, and Label & Print trade shows in Madrid and Porto, received the 2017 Admira Award in Memory of Andrés Mira Domènech. This is the fifth consecutive year that this award has been given since its inception in 2013.
The Admira Award was created five years ago by the personal initiative of a group of professionals attached to media outlets in the Logistics and Transport, as a tribute and permanent memory of Andrés Mira, a journalist who was the director of the magazine Operadores Logísticos and Cruises News, who died unexpectedly in August 2012.
This award, absolutely unique in the logistics and transport sectors because it is granted exclusively by journalists and other professionals from specialized media, annually recognizes a professional from the aforementioned sectors, based on criteria such as their performance and contribution to logistics in Spain, professional achievements, successful career in the sector, relationship with the media, as well as their overall professional and personal values.
Marina Uceda Nuñez, a graduate in Political Science and Public Administration and in International Relations, and with a Master's degree in Economic Information, Journalism, and Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid, has spent her entire professional career in journalism, communication, and marketing across various media and professional sectors. Since 2006, she has been particularly involved in the logistics, transportation, and packaging industry. Since 2012, she has served as trade fair director and is responsible for the Logistics & Distribution, Empack, Packaging Innovations, and Label Print trade fairs held in Madrid and Porto, Portugal. She has successfully positioned the Madrid logistics trade fair as a leading event in the Spanish industry landscape.
Virginia López, widow of Andrés Mira Domènech and managing director of Cruises News Media Group, who has been involved with the award since its inception, will present the award. At the luncheon and discussion preceding the ceremony, Marina Uceda expressed her particular honor at being recognized by professionals in the trade media and that the award is linked to the memory of Andrés Mira.
The group of logistics and transport communication professionals who award the prize are: Tomás Abascal, Mercedes Álvarez, Víctor Bádenas, Juan Caraballo, Edi Cobas, Nieves González, Ricardo J. Hernández, Carmina Lafuente, Paco Márquez and Isabel Rodrigo.
