After presenting its new voyages for the 2018-2019 season and announcing the addition of a new ship to its fleet, the Sky Princess, Princess Cruises has unveiled the transformation of the Star Princess. This transformation includes significant improvements to youth areas, an expanded shopping area, and the modernization and upgrading of the spa, gym, Italian restaurant, and 1,300 staterooms, among many other features.

Princess Cruises has unveiled the refurbished Star Princess, a ship with a capacity for 2,600 passengers. After two weeks of modernization, the ship has undergone a major overhaul valued at several million euros. Currently sailing to the Hawaiian Islands on 15 round-trip itineraries from Los Angeles to Vancouver, the ship will begin operating in Alaska in May 2018.
The ship's renovation has included a redesign of the kids' club, carried out in collaboration with Discovery Channel and renamed 'Camp Discovery'. Princess Cruises has expanded its offerings for children, incorporating three new themed areas: The Tree House – for children aged 3 to 7, inspired by the forest and animals – The Lodge – for children aged 8 to 12, focused on the outdoors – and The Beach House, a surf-themed room for young people aged 13 to 17.
The transformation also includes an expansion of the retail area and the modernization and upgrading of the spa and gym . A wider selection of cosmetics and fragrances is available, along with a new fine jewelry concept, Effy . The main retail outlets feature the latest arrivals, including Under Armour activewear .
In addition, the 1,300 staterooms have been furnished with Princess's signature luxury furniture and linens. Sabatini's, Princess's signature specialty restaurant, also features a refreshed menu and décor, while the casino boasts upgraded slots and tables. The ship also features new carpeting and upholstery.

These improvements continue our €330 million multi-year ship renovation campaign, enhancing the onboard experience for passengers.”
