The ceremony took place in Tolkamer, Netherlands, and marks a significant milestone in the ship’s development as it signifies the start of its innovative construction.

The Celebrity Flora, with a capacity for 100 passengers, incorporates innovative technology that maintains the ship's position without anchoring and protects the seabed. Furthermore, 2018 will be a big year for Celebrity Cruises as it marks the debut of the Celebrity Edge, the first ship in the new Edge class, characterized by its cutting-edge onboard innovations. The ship will be based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and will make its maiden voyage on December 16, 2018.
