Genoa, December 11, 2017 - Costa Cruises announces significant improvements to its Costa Magica and Costa Pacifica with the aim of enhancing the cruise experience offered to its customers.
During the dry dock period at Pier 10 of the Marseille Naval Shipyard in the port of Marseille Fos, where regular maintenance work will be carried out, both ships will undergo refurbishment and several of their public areas will be updated. In addition to these improvements, the company will incorporate new features into these vessels, thus fulfilling one of Costa: to always offer the best and most exciting experience to its passengers.
On the Costa Magica, which left dry dock in Marseille on November 25, the significant renovations carried out in its restaurant and wellness areas stand out:
- The Vicenza Club Restaurant and Bellagio Buffet Restaurant have undergone design changes and kitchen upgrades, allowing guests staying in suites and members of the CostaClub Pearl Diamond category to fully enjoy the Club Restaurant experience. Meanwhile, renovations to the Bellagio Buffet Restaurant will ensure a more efficient use of space.
- Spa – renovations of the wellness and gym areas and introduction of a new sauna, thalassotherapy and relaxation area.
On board the Costa Pacifica, in dry dock between November 26 and December 7, an innovative digital signage system will debut: new high-resolution monitors and interactive screens that will offer features to help guests find their way around the ship, inform them about onboard activities and events, announce promotions, products and services available, and promote educational initiatives and campaigns.
Last but not least, these renovations will include two of Costa: Pizzeria Pummid'Oro on Costa Pacificaand Gelateria Amarillo on both ships. Passengers can enjoy authentic Italian pizza with 100% natural dough, real mozzarella prepared on board, San Marzano PDO tomatoes, select flours, and authentic Italian gelato with delicious flavors produced by Agrimontana.
Once all these improvements have been implemented, Costa Magica and Costa Pacifica will depart for the Caribbean to serve the scheduled winter cruises.
