Barcelona, November 21, 2017 – Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean's premium cruise line, has unveiled the new features of its upcoming ship, the Celebrity Flora. The vessel has been designed exclusively to sail the breathtaking Galapagos Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for their diverse landscapes and wildlife.
The Celebrity Flora, with a capacity for 100 passengers, incorporates innovative technology that maintains the ship's position without anchoring and protects the seabed. Its cutting-edge design offers 360° views of the islands, suites with personalized service, new restaurants, an open-air platform for stargazing, and even sustainability seminars led by experts.
Sustainabilityand innovation:
The Celebrity Flora has incorporated the best available technology to protect this idyllic destination. The ship features an advanced propulsion system that reduces fuel consumption by 15% and decreases atmospheric emissions. Furthermore, the Celebrity Flora allows the ship to remain in position without anchoring, preventing damage to the seabed, thanks to zero-speed stabilizers that ensure smooth navigation at all times.
Celebrity Cruises will also reduce its use of plastics on board by introducing water filtration systems in cabins and converting seawater and air conditioning condensation into perfectly drinkable water. In addition, any material that can be recycled, reused, or donated will be incorporated into a strict waste management system.

Design inspired by the destination:
With Celebrity Cruises' signature exterior design, Celebrity Flora breaks down barriers and brings this destination closer to travelers. The Marina is the ship's main access point and can accommodate up to three Zodiacs simultaneously, reducing travel time to and from shore and giving passengers more time to discover all the islands' secrets.
The Celebrity Flora features exclusive spaces such as the Sunset Lounge, ideal for relaxation; The Vista, an open-air hideaway with 360° views and private cabanas; and the glass Observatory, which allows you to enjoy all the surroundings of this idyllic setting.
The Celebrity Flora will make its maiden voyage on May 26, 2019, and will sail from Baltra year-round.
