Madrid, November 8, 2017- Pullmantur Cruises - the only shipping company on the market that offers a 100% Spanish product - has added a new gluten-free and lactose-free menu , designed to meet the needs of people with celiac disease and lactose intolerance.

Aware of the importance for passengers of enjoying a magnificent gastronomic experience during a vacation, the shipping company has created this alternative proposal by replacing milk or egg derivatives in all those dishes in which its classic recipes include them with olive oil, soy cream and other non-dairy products.
To ensure guests can enjoy this new alternative menu and experience the onboard cuisine with complete peace of mind, they simply need to request it at the time of booking their trip.
“At Pullmantur Cruises, we want all our passengers to enjoy their holidays with complete peace of mind and feel right at home. For this reason, we have considered all those who need to adapt their diet, avoiding both gluten and lactose, and have incorporated a wide-ranging menu carefully designed for them,” says the company’s President & CEO, Richard J. Vogel.
Gluten-free and lactose-free cuisine on board
Thanks to the care and dedication of the Pullmantur Cruises culinary team, the gluten-free and lactose-free menu includes the option of enjoying menus featuring chicken, beef or lamb; fish, such as hake, roosterfish or grilled salmon; and various types of pasta, including spaghetti with seafood, fusilli in basil oil, and lasagna.
Among the starters, highlights include tomato or lentil soups with vegetables, tilapia ceviche, green asparagus in cream sauce or warmed with rock salt, and beef carpaccio with extra virgin olive oil. In addition, four types of salads are offered: chicken, tomato with onion and black olives, and mixed lettuce salads with tomato, avocado, and herb vinaigrette, or with green beans, tuna, tomato, and onion.
For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert menu includes everything from fruit salad to gluten-free banana and chocolate crepes, as well as vanilla cakes with strawberry cream or chocolate cakes with warm vanilla sauce, poached pear in red wine coated with pistachio, and chocolate tofu cream.
