Madrid, September 4, 2017. NP – CroisiEurope has built a new five-anchor ship to reinforce its fleet on the Mekong and respond to the increased demand for this destination, the RV Indochine II, which will be inaugurated in September in Phnom Penh.
This new gem can accommodate 62 passengers in its 31 spacious 22m² cabins, each with a private 4m² balcony. Measuring 65 meters in length and 13 meters in beam, it boasts a shallow draft of 1.6 meters, allowing it to sail longer than many other ships on Lake Tonlé. Its 120m² restaurant is located aft, while the 110m² panoramic lounge and bar are situated forward, both featuring glass walls and a spacious atrium. The upper deck offers a swimming pool, a bar, and an outdoor lounge. A massage room is available on the main deck. The 29-member crew ensures CroisiEurope's signature quality standards.
This new vessel is directly inspired by the rich style of the merchant ships that sail the Mekong. The decor draws on the spirit of the colonial era while incorporating contemporary trends, creating a truly original style. Vietnamese shipyards collaborated with the Nantes-based SDI agency, headed by Thibaut Tincelin and overseen by Patrick Schmitter. State-of-the-art technologies were meticulously selected to ensure this flagship vessel is a true benchmark in its class. Equipped with the latest generation of low-emission engines and a bow thruster, the ship boasts exceptional maneuverability for navigating the narrow channels connecting Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong River. The RV Indochine II will sail from Siem Reap (Cambodia) to Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) via Phnom Penh (or vice versa), from August to April.
