Pullmantur Cruises is once again investing in the Canary Islands, increasing the number of port calls on its Canary Islands-Agadir route by 25% this winter. This will bring approximately 30,000 passengers to the islands and is expected to have an economic impact of €13 million, a figure that does not include other revenues directly related to the cruise, such as docking fees, baggage handling, etc.
With embarkation in Gran Canaria (Saturday) and Tenerife (Sunday) from November 25, 2017 until April 1, 2018, guests of the Horizon ship will also visit La Palma, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura as well as Agadir (Morocco).

Vogel, President & CEO of Pullmantur Cruises, affirms that this season, “in addition to renewing our commitment to the Canary Islands, we are increasing our port calls, demonstrating our complete confidence in this wonderful destination that attracts millions of visitors from around the world each year.” Vogel adds, “We are absolutely certain that the Spanish market, as in previous years, will once again give us a very positive response, which will undoubtedly contribute to the consolidation of this itinerary.”.
Special departures: New Year's and Carnival: To increase its offering in the islands this winter, Pullmantur Cruises is launching two special departures:
- Canary Islands and Madeira: This trip offers the opportunity to celebrate New Year's Eve in Funchal, Madeira, world-renowned for its fireworks displays, the largest in the world according to Guinness World Records. Boarding is scheduled for December 27th and 28th in Gran Canaria and Tenerife, respectively. Fuerteventura and Lanzarote are the other ports of call on this itinerary.
- Carnival in the Canary Islands: Guests of the Horizon will have the opportunity to enjoy the famous Carnival of the Indianos in La Palma, where the ship will spend the night. And they'll also have the chance to explore Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, and Agadir. Departures on February 10 (Gran Canaria) and 11 (Tenerife), 2018.
