According to information received from the Port Authorities, the strike participation rate in the morning shift is close to 97.8%, and during working hours normal work rhythms have been reported without any low performance observed during these hours.
However, the information regarding strike participation needs to be qualified, since, according to the Port Authority of Barcelona, despite the declaration that 100% of workers are participating in the strike, the reality is that there are terminals—Best, Setram, Coma i Riba, and Sammer—where work is reportedly proceeding normally. Therefore, it is not possible to accurately determine the level of participation at the Port of Barcelona.
Furthermore, in the Port Authorities of Cartagena, Marín-Pontevedra and Ferrol-San Cibrao, the impact of the strike is minimal.
Across all Port Authorities, 1,604 workers have been appointed, of whom 105 have been assigned to minimum services. Of the appointed workers, 1,466 participated in the strike, which, taking into account the appointed minimum services, represents a 97.8% participation rate. The percentage of minimum services provided relative to the number of workers appointed in the first shift is 6.5%.
Regarding the special shifts, the number of dockworkers appointed has reached 439, of whom 12 were assigned to minimum services. Of the appointed workers, 363 participated in the strike, which, considering the minimum services assigned, represents an 85% participation rate. The percentage of workers assigned to minimum services relative to the number of workers appointed to special shifts is 2.7%.
The number of appointments in this strike is similar to that of the alternating strikes held the week of June 5-11, in which the strike calls had the same characteristics (alternating hours) as today's call.
In general, the mandated minimum services are being met. Across all Port Authorities, 117 staff members have been assigned to minimum services (first shift plus special shifts), representing 5.7% of total appointments.
It is worth noting the 100% compliance with minimum services, especially those set for supply traffic to the islands, Ceuta and Melilla, and also for inter-island traffic of both goods and passengers.
The strike day is proceeding without any noteworthy incidents. The Coordination and Studies Office of the State Secretariat for Security has reported no disturbances of public order.
