According to information received by State Ports from the Port Authorities, the strike is nearing 100% participation. This third day of the strike is proceeding in the same manner as on June 5th and 7th.
The Cartagena Port Authority, which had not joined the strike in previous days, has had a demand from four workers on this day in the first shift, who have been designated in their entirety as minimum services.
The workday is proceeding without any significant incidents. Normal work paces have been reported throughout the day, with no instances of low productivity observed.
Across all Port Authorities, 1,737 personnel have been appointed, of whom 1,434 have participated in the strike. Additionally, special shifts exist to handle specific traffic, where the general situation is practically the same as the "normal" shifts. Of the workers appointed to these special shifts, 469 participated in the strike, with 382 (94%) joining the strike. In Ferrol, only 18.5% of dockworkers participated in the strike.
On this strike day, the demand for workers has increased by 15% compared to the 7th, and by 55% compared to the 5th, which denotes a certain confidence of the operators when scheduling the activity due to the way the activity is developing in the non-strike hours.
In general, the mandated minimum services are being maintained. Across all Port Authorities, 366 staff members have been assigned to minimum services, representing a 300% increase compared to the workday on the 7th (including those on the special shift).
It is worth highlighting the compliance with the minimum services - set at 100% - in the supply traffic to the islands, Ceuta and Melilla and also in the inter-island traffic of both goods and passengers.
No significant incidents
Delivery and receipt of goods by truck is proceeding normally, resulting in no long queues of vehicles. This situation may worsen slightly throughout the day, primarily due to the anticipated increase in activity.
The only incident reported by CEPIC (Permanent Information and Coordination Center of the Secretary of State for Security) was a gathering of approximately 150 dockworkers between 9:15 and 9:45 in front of the offices of the Dockworkers' Society in Santurce, carrying banners and lighting some flares, without major consequences.
