The Port of Ceuta will receive the first of four scheduled visits to the autonomous city this spring-summer season from the Thomson Cruises cruise ship 'Tui Discovery II' next Saturday. This ship is the company's flagship. The stops, one per month, in Ceuta will be the penultimate stop on its Mediterranean itineraries departing from and returning to Málaga.
With a length of 264 meters, it has a maximum capacity to accommodate 1,832 passengers and plans to include the ports of Barcelona, Valencia, Ibiza, Porto, Lisbon and Marseille in its routes.
The improvements made to the Muelle de España (Spain Wharf) allow the Port of Ceuta to receive ships of nearly 300 meters in length. The Port Authority anticipates that around fifteen cruise ships will visit Ceuta this year, a similar number to last year, with the resulting positive impact on the city's economic and commercial activity.
