The Port Authority of Huelva will hold an 'Employment on Board' event on June 13th at Las Cocheras del Puerto, aimed at people interested in working on river cruise ships in Portugal in collaboration with The Seven Seas Group.
The job offers are intended to fill positions at Viking River Cruises, the world's leading river cruise line, which is pre-selecting candidates for positions such as chef, housekeeping, bar and restaurant waiters, as well as reception positions.
Candidates interested in applying for the aforementioned positions must meet some basic requirements, including fluency in English and prior experience in the position they are applying for.
The event is organized by The Seven Seas Group, an official and authorized recruitment agency for workers for various cruise lines.
The Port of Huelva has opted to promote cruise ship calls as part of its strategic diversification of activities, in addition to generating added value for the province's economy.
The cruise industry generates a movement of more than 24 million passengers per year, in addition to having an impact on the employment of more than 900,000 jobs and creating an economic value of 117 billion euros, according to data handled by CLIA, the international association of the cruise industry.
