More than 30 artists; 18 hours of music daily; seven themed parties; two stages; five stops; a night in Ibiza; a unique location: the Pullmantur Cruises ship Horizon sailing the Mediterranean; and three of the country's leading clubs. This sums up Waterland, the first electronic music festival at sea organized by the cruise line.
The ship set sail from Alicante with a clear objective: to surprise the participants with a festival designed to be remembered for its musical offerings, the spectacular nature of its themed parties, the destinations, and the very experience of traveling with Pullmantur Cruises, in this case, through the Mediterranean.
Following the Waterland cruise, Richard J. Vogel, President and CEO of Pullmantur Cruises, stated: “Our guests enjoyed an unforgettable experience on board and left very satisfied with their time on Waterland. This positive feedback encourages us to continue developing themed cruises.”
The main stage, located in the pool area, hosted over 30 renowned DJs from both Spain and abroad. Technasia, Davide Squillace, DJ Nano, Edu Imbernon, and the Ibiza classics Los Suruba were just some of the artists who didn't want to miss this first-ever festival at sea. The famous influencer Dulceida was also in attendance.
Meanwhile, every night, the Horizon theater changed its decor to set the scene for the spectacular theme parties that captivated the attendees: “Masquerade Party”, “Flower Power”, “Love Party” or the one organized by elrow, based on an adventure in the Brazilian jungle, which brought surprising and unusual elements to the Horizon, such as jungle animals, the recreation of unique characters or the discharge of almost 500 kilograms of confetti during the party.
And for those who still had energy and wanted to make the most of their time on board, the Horizon Disco awaited them, transformed into an after-hours spot.
Waterland, a festival sponsored by Ballantines Brazil, marked the first time that three leading labels of Spanish electronic music (Madrid's Fabrik and Ibiza's Café Mambo Ibiza), and Barcelona's elrow, experts in producing immersive shows, collaborated by contributing their themed shows, animations and the vibrant rhythm of their admired artists.
