Royal Caribbean International invites passengers to discover Europe on its new European cruises scheduled for 2018. These will be headlined by its newest ship, the Symphony of the Seas, which offers the ultimate onboard experience filled with adventure.
The global cruise company will also add a new port of call for summer 2018: Holyhead, on the island of Anglesey, Wales. Destinations returning to European itineraries in 2018, after a brief hiatus, include Flåm, Molde, and Skjolden in Norway, and Ísafjörður in Iceland.
After making its debut in Barcelona in April 2018, the Symphony of the Seas, Royal Caribbean's fourth Oasis-class ship, will spend its inaugural season sailing the Western Mediterranean. Beginning April 21, the Symphony of the Seas will offer seven-night itineraries from Barcelona with stops in Palma, Provence, Florence/Pisa, Rome, and Naples, where travelers can discover the views from Barcelona's Sagrada Familia cathedral and admire the works of art in Florence's museums. For those who wish to begin and end their cruise in Italy, round-trip sailings from Rome are also available.
New for the 2018 season, Vision of the Seas will join Symphony of the Seas in offering 12-night itineraries sailing from Barcelona with stops in Rome, Nice, Santorini, and Athens. In Northern Europe, Brilliance of the Seas will offer a new 12-night itinerary departing from Amsterdam, visiting destinations in the Baltic States, Norway, and the British Isles, including Holyhead, Wales.
Mediterranean adventures from Barcelona
- The Oasis Class returns to Barcelona with the Symphony of the Seas, which will headline the summer season in Europe exploring the Western Mediterranean on seven-night round-trip voyages from Barcelona (Spain) or Rome (Italy).
- The Vision of the Seas will embark on new 12-night Greek Islands itineraries from Barcelona, plus 12 nights of Mediterranean adventures to France and Italy, including stops in Rome and Florence/Pisa, the Amalfi Coast, and an overnight stay in Venice. British and Scandinavian cruises
- The Brilliance of the Seas will sail to Northern Europe for the first time, with 12-night itineraries from Amsterdam, exploring the Baltic States and the British Isles, including a new port of call in Holyhead, Wales.
- The Independence of the Seas returns to Southampton with 14-night Mediterranean and 14-night Canary Islands adventure cruises. The Navigator of the Seas will join the Independence with 14-night itineraries.
- The Sereneade of the Seas will offer seven-night voyages from the Norwegian fjords, including Russian and Scandinavian adventures departing from Copenhagen, Denmark and Stockholm, Sweden.
Italian adventures from Venice and Rome
- The newly refurbished Jewel of the Seas will offer seven- and nine-night cruises touring the
Greek islands and the western Mediterranean. -
On Rhapsody of the Seas, you will return to Venice, Italy, with seven-night excursions to the Greek Islands
and Croatia.
