The meeting took place at the Scandic Aarhus City Hotel, where representatives from both the port and tourism organizations were welcomed by Cruise Baltic Director Claus Bødker and his marketing team. “Our program for this congress is made even more special by the participation of guests representing six cruise lines – Frédérique Patry, Silversea; Ann-Kristin Johansson, AIDA; Sarah Schramm, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises; Michael Schulze, Phoenix Reisen; Stephanie Kirsch, TUI Cruises; and Bruce Krumrine and Melanie Lewis, Princess Cruises.
On the first day, Claus Bødker presented Cruise Baltic's proposed plan for 2017-2019, which was discussed and approved by all partners. Further details will be revealed at Seatrade Cruise Global in Fort Lauderdale.
On the second day, the joint project with Princess Cruises was presented, which will continue in 2017, along with details of the itinerary for two trips taking place in June of this year: one to Lübeck-Travemünde, Rostock, Malmo, Helsingborg and Elsinore – the other to Oslo, Arendal, Kristiansand, Klaipeda, Tallinn and Saaremaa.
The program also included one-on-one meetings between cruise line executives and representatives from the respective destinations. The delegates enjoyed a relaxed evening at Aarhus Street Food and a tour of the Old Town Museum and Port.
Cruise Baltic is a Baltic Sea cruise destination organization that offers access to 10 countries and was founded in 2004 with 12 destinations, it has now grown in 2017 to 29 destinations.
