Silversea is offering a chance this year to explore Australia's Kimberley coast. The natural beauty of this region in the northwest of the country is looking spectacular thanks to a record-breaking December, the wettest on record—seven times the average, according to data taken in Broome. The rainfall has swollen waterfalls that can be visited on any of the five 10-plus-day voyages aboard the Silver Discoverer, sailing between Darwin and Broome.
During March, April, and May, Silversea's expedition cruise travels along the Kimberley Coast, visiting King George Falls and Talbo Bay's Horizontal Falls. King George's twin falls boast Australia's most spectacular drop of nearly 80 meters. Depending on the tide, Silversea guests can experience a Zodiac boat tour through the Horizontal Falls, a unique natural phenomenon in the region. An optional helicopter tour is also available to view the four-tiered Mitchell Falls.

With its contrasting landscape, the Kimberley coast offers travelers a series of stunning sights, from white sand beaches and turquoise waters to red sandstone cliffs and rock art. Its ecosystem provides nature lovers with the opportunity to observe a variety of bird species, including white-bellied sea eagles, ospreys, Brahman kites, and peregrine falcons.
