The Amadea cruise ship, operated by the German company Phoenix Reisen, with a length of 190 meters and flying the flag of the Bahamas, will arrive for the first time at the South Dock of the Port of Huelva with more than 500 passengers from Germany, as well as Austria, among other nationalities, and with more than 300 crew members on board from the Philippines and Indonesia.
With this cruise, the Port of Huelva concludes the year with the visit of a total of 17 ships, which have brought more than 22,500 passengers to the city.
The Port of Huelva has launched a shuttle bus service for tourists visiting the city, running from the South Wharf to Plaza del Punto. This service allows visitors to stroll through the city center and easily access the main tourist attractions. The initiative was coordinated within the Huelva Cruise Network working group, which includes representatives from various institutions such as the Huelva City Council, the Tourism Board, the Chamber of Commerce, the Huelva Federation of Business Owners, the Port Authority of Huelva, and several tourism-related companies and organizations.
In addition to visits to the city of Huelva thanks to the shuttle buses that continuously connect the South Dock with the capital of Huelva, some of the passengers have arranged different excursions to visit the Doñana park, Huelva Panorámica and the Columbus sites.
Visitors will also receive information and brochures about tourist attractions in the city and province, thanks to the collaboration of the Huelva City Council and the Provincial Tourism Board. The Port of Huelva is also offering free Wi-Fi at the South Dock so that tourists and ship crews can have free internet access.
