The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced the appointment of Catherine Couplan as Vice President of Public Relations for Europe. Couplan will be responsible for public relations and communications across the European continent.
Couplan has extensive experience in corporate leadership roles. Previously, she founded a public relations consultancy in Brussels, Belgium, where she worked with a wide range of international clients, including airlines, hotels, tourism boards, and various brands. Prior to that, she also oversaw European regional communications for UnitedParcel Services (UPS) and led the global communications department at Conrad Hotels.
“Catherine’s experience is a perfect fit for CLIA,” said Raphael Von Heereman, Secretary General of CLIA Europe. “Her previous work in public relations and communications, as well as her track record working with various global companies, will be fundamental in shaping the strategic direction and coordinating European communications functions within CLIA.”.
In her new role, Couplan will be responsible for planning and supporting the development and execution of public relations communication strategies, social media, and digital programs across Europe. She will work in coordination and collaboration with CLIA's global communications team, headquartered in Washington, D.C., to create effective management processes that ensure clear communication between offices, departments, and agencies.
