Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled details of the new experience that guests will enjoy on Great Stirrup Cay, the company's private island with an area of one square kilometer.
The private island of Great Stirrup Cay will feature a wider selection of new restaurants and services. Great Stirrup Cay's 40,000 m² beach will soon boast a new 800-meter promenade stretching along the shoreline, with over 9,300 m² of walkway providing easy access to the white sand beaches and new shaded areas with benches for relaxation.
Guests seeking adrenaline-pumping adventures will soon be able to enjoy the new 300-meter zip line circuit, offering a bird's-eye view of the island and the sea. Those who prefer to explore at sea can snorkel through the new underwater sculpture garden.
Thanks to the brand's exclusive partnership with Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, Great Stirrup Cay will also feature a LandShark Bar & Grill, inspired by traditional Atlantic coast beach bars.
Guests seeking a luxury experience will find the perfect retreat at the exclusive lagoon resort on Great Stirrup Cay, opening in summer 2017. This private area of Great Stirrup Cay will feature a secluded beach with crystal-clear waters; a restaurant overlooking the sea; the elegant Mandara Spa; a protected family area; and 22 private, air-conditioned villas of varying sizes, from studios to two bedrooms.
Guests will be able to enjoy the new private island experience of Great Stirrup Cay on several Caribbean and Bahamas cruises available in 2017, including 3- or 4-night Norwegian Sky cruises from Miami.
