Carnival Cruise Line will return to Europe in 2018 with a second Vista-class ship, built in Italy. Company president Christine Duffy revealed this aboard the new Carnival Vista.
Carnival had not announced any cruises to Europe in 2017. With the launch of the new Vista, the company returns to the old continent.
The new ship, which has not yet been named, will offer many of the same attractions as the Carnival Vista, including the IMAX theater and the RedFrog brewery. Richard Gelfon, CEO of IMAX Corporation, also revealed that the company has an exclusive 10-year partnership with Carnival.
Christine Duffy, the company's CEO, stated: “Everyone has been waiting for this new ship, but they were also waiting for us to return to Europe. This new vessel opens a new chapter for the company and continues Carnival's legacy.”
