The Seven Seas Explorer will enter service after the christening, which will be attended by Princess Charlene of Monaco, who will act as godmother on July 13, 2016.
“The world’s most luxurious ship had to be christened in the world’s most glamorous city and with a godmother like Princess Charlene, who embodies elegance and passion,” declared Jason Montague, President and COO of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “The Princess’s character, her career as a world-class athlete, and her charitable work are a source of inspiration. We are very proud that she has accepted to be the godmother of the Seven Seas Explorer.”.
Andrea Bocelli will also attend the ceremony. He will take to the stage for a 40-minute performance.
“It is a great honor to have Andrea Bocelli on the christening day,” Montague said. “This will be a memorable christening ceremony, befitting a ship like the Seven Seas Explorer.”
