The Italian cruise line has chosen Bilbao as a port of call for its neo-Romantica ship. The vessel docked in the city's port before departing for Amsterdam, from where it will begin a cruise through Northern Europe.
From May 27th to September 2nd, Costa Cruises will offer a charter flight connecting Bilbao with Rostock, a city in northern Germany. This new route will allow for a quick connection to the port of Warnemünde, the starting point for the Costa Favolosa's itinerary through the Norwegian fjords, which includes stops in Warnemünde, Copenhagen, Geiranger, Hellesylt, Bergen, Kristiansand, and Aarhus.
María Jesús García, General Manager of Costa Cruises for Spain and Portugal, highlighted the significance of this new service. “At Costa Cruises, we are aware of the importance of customers from northern Spain to cruise tourism, and therefore, we continue working to always offer them the best and most innovative products. The opening of this connection with Rostock represents a significant qualitative advantage, as it allows passengers to embark in Warnemünde, enabling them to discover Copenhagen more thoroughly, at their own pace.”.
Additionally, the Italian shipping company offers an exclusive baggage check-in service to all passengers who choose the flight and cruise combination for the Bilbao-Rostock route. This option allows passengers to drop off their luggage at the departure airport and have it delivered directly to their cabin on board. Each passenger can check one 20 kg bag and take an additional 8 kg piece of hand luggage at no extra cost, conveniently and without worry.
In keeping with Costa Cruises' commitment to northern Spain, the company has once again chosen the port of Bilbao as a stop for the Costa neo Romantica on its voyage to the Netherlands. The ship docked in Bilbao on May 22nd before departing for Amsterdam, where it will begin a special itinerary along the Norwegian coast.
