The Port of A Coruña will receive seven cruise ships between May 24 and 26, with one triple stop and two double stops.
The first two ships to arrive will be the Crystal Symphony, which will bring 750 passengers on board from Lisbon, and will depart for Bilbao, and the Berlin, which will arrive from Leixões with 335 tourists and will head for Santander.
On May 25th, a triple port call is expected, with three small vessels arriving from Vilagarcía. The first to arrive will be the National Geographic Orion, coming from Vilagarcía, with approximately 100 passengers who will depart for Bilbao. The second will be the Voyager, arriving from Saint Peter Port, carrying 350 passengers and bound for the Azores. The Ocean Majesty, with 430 passengers, is also scheduled to arrive from Vigo. It will then depart for Saint-Nazaire.
Finally, on May 26, the Nautica is scheduled to visit, arriving from Leixões with 630 passengers on board. It will depart for Bilbao from the A Coruña docks along with the Sea Cloud II, which will arrive from the Cíes Islands.
Between all the ships, they will carry around 2,500 passengers and 1,500 crew members, making a total of 4,000 people disembarking in the city over three days.
On May 28, the Navigator of the Seas, from Royal Caribbean, with a capacity for more than 3,000 passengers, will dock at the Transatlantic Pier.
The number of passengers reached 26,330 between January and April. To this must be added the approximately 15,000 expected for the entire month of May, meaning that the first five months of the year will close with over 40,000 cruise passengers. These figures are very similar to those recorded in the same period of 2015, so everything points to the forecasts being met to equal or even surpass the number of passengers reached in the previous year, which exceeded 140,000.
