Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. has announced an agreement with Fincantieri to build a new ship with features similar to the Seven Seas Explorer, which would make it one of the most luxurious cruise ships ever built. Delivery is scheduled for 2020.
“When we began conceptualizing the Seven Seas Explorer four years ago, we knew it would be a ship that would impress the market from the outset. We hope that the significant economic impact it has had will help the new ship achieve similar success.” Frank del Rio, President and CEO of NCLH.
On the other hand, Jason Montague, president and CEO of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, stated that they knew the Explorer would be a great success thanks to the positive response they received from travel agents and customers, as demonstrated by the record-breaking demand for the ship. This success has led Norwegian Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises to expand their fleets with ships that share the same characteristics.
More details about this new ship will be revealed in the coming days, although for now the debut of the Regent Suite, a new cabin that will have all kinds of luxuries, is already known.
