CLIA UK and Ireland confirms that the British cruise market has grown by 8.8%, breaking the record with 1.79 million passengers last year. This is the highest growth in seven years, thus increasing the 4.8% decline in 2014. They also added that the average age of passengers has decreased.
The number of nights booked has increased by 5.4%, breaking the record of 18.9 million, after three years of decline.
Last year showed an increase in popularity for Atlantic island cruises, while the Mediterranean remains the top choice for cruisers departing from the UK.
